Culimeta-Saveguard is a global engineering and textile manufacturing company headquartered in the UK which boasts a diverse portfolio of products. It operates a manufacturing facility in Dukinfield, UK, and has four subsidiaries in India, Italy and the USA. The company is divided into three business units. The Automotive business unit provides acoustic and thermal insulation materials for vehicle exhausts. The Fire Protection business unit specialises in flexible textile fire barriers made from woven glass fabric. The Textiles business unit produces high performance synthetic yarns for protective equipment such as safety gloves, and additionally operates English Fine Cottons--which runs a state-of-the-art cotton spinning facility in Dukinfield as part of an ambitious project to bring cotton spinning back to the UK. Culimeta-Saveguard continually invests in product development and innovations in materials, and has ambitious plans for the future. In its Automotive business unit, the company plans to develop its Katpak support mats and believes that the potential market for these items is huge. In its Fire Protection business unit, the company will continue to develop its passive fire protection solutions for a number of applications which are evolving as a result of changes in UK fire safety legislation and building regulations. In its Textiles business unit, the company is developing its High Performance Textiles subsidiary in India, and aims to double the production capacity at English Fine Cottons over the next 3-5 years.
