Yarn and fabric trends for autumn/winter 2021/22 at Première Vision Paris

The September 2020 edition of Première Vision Paris was the first edition of the fair to be held entirely online as government restrictions and other complications associated with the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the hosting of a physical event in Paris, France. However, the organiser of the fair—the France-based company Première Vision—made the most of its resources and opened up its Première Vision Marketplace online platform to all exhibitors to enable them to showcase their collections for the autumn/winter 2021/22 season. To create the atmosphere of an event, the organiser additionally hosted two days of webinars. These covered a diverse range of topics, including environmental sustainability and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on consumer behaviour as well as trends for the autumn/winter 2021/22 season. This reports analyses the key topics discussed at the event, as well as the most important trends in yarns and fabrics for the autumn/winter 2021/22 season. Protection is a key theme for the autumn/winter 2021/22 season, and there is an emphasis on comfort and richly textured fabrics.
