This report examines general trends and provides analyses of the international fabric machinery market. 2014 was a mixed year for producers of fabric machinery. Shipments of double jersey circular knitting machinery reached their highest level on record, and shipments of electronic flatbed knitting machinery also increased. However, there was a significant decline in shipments of single jersey circular knitting machinery, and there was a fall in shipments of hand knitting and semi-automatic flat knitting machinery to their lowest level on record. Furthermore, shipments of shuttleless looms also declined and were lower than their annual average over the ten years to 2014.
