Shipments of double jersey circular knitting machinery reached their highest level on record, and shipments of electronic flatbed knitting machinery also increased. However, there was a significant decline in shipments of single jersey circular knitting machinery, and there was a fall in shipments of hand knitting and semi-automatic flat knitting machinery to their lowest level on record. Furthermore, shipments of shuttleless looms also declined and were lower than their annual average over the ten years to 2014.
