International trade in denim fabric and denim jeans |

According to the latest global data, imports and exports of denim fabric fell in 2014 and, as a result, they remained well below the peaks reached in 2011. US imports of denim jeans also declined, although EU imports of denim jeans rose to a record high. The world's top denim fabric exporting country in 2014 was China while the top denim fabric importing country was Bangladesh. Mexico was the largest supplier of denim jeans to the USA while Bangladesh was the largest supplier of denim jeans to the EU.
