This report examines general trends and provides analyses of the international fabric machinery market. 2013 was a poor year with falls in shipments of shuttleless weaving machinery, single jersey circular knitting machinery, electronic flatbed knitting machinery, and hand knitting and semi-automatic flat knitting machinery. In fact, the only rise was in shipments of double jersey circular knitting machinery. Having said that, shipments in 2013 were above annual average shipments over the ten years to 2013. The only exception was in shipments of hand knitting and semi-automatic flat knitting machinery, which fell to their lowest level on record.
