Imports of textiles and clothing into the EU increased, representing a partial recovery following declines in the previous two years. Meanwhile, the average price of EU textile and clothing imports declined. Furthermore, there were declines in the average prices of imports from 16 of the 20 leading textile supplying countries and declines in the average prices of imports from 15 of the 20 leading clothing supplying countries.
