World textile and apparel trade and production trends: the EU, June 2016

Meanwhile, imports of textiles and clothing into the EU declined in volume although they increased in value as the average price of imports rose sharply. In fact, there were increases in the average prices of clothing imports from 19 of the leading 20 clothing supplying countries, and increases in the average prices of textile imports from 18 of the leading 20 supplying countries.
