This latest report in our flagship series contains statistical data, information and insight into the textile and apparel industries in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey. The report includes detailed information on domestic production and exports of textiles and clothing by type and destination. The report presents a wealth of information and is essential for anyone who is considering sourcing from, selling to or investing in these countries or their export markets. In Egypt, textile and clothing exports increased in 2013 after falling significantly in 2012 due to political and economic instability. But during January-June 2014 exports were down compared with the corresponding period a year earlier. In Morocco, clothing exports and production fell in 2013 but recovered in 2014 as sales in the USA soared. In Tunisia, exports of textiles, clothing and leather products rose in 2013 and were up during January-October 2014 after falling in 2012. In Turkey, textile and clothing exports grew strongly in 2013 and were up significantly during January-September 2014. But clothing output during January-September 2014 was down by 0.9%.
