OutDoor 2014 -- the 21st edition of a trade fair for outdoor apparel, accessories and equipment -- was held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, during July 10-13, 2014. There was an increase in the number of exhibitors and visitors at the fair compared with OutDoor 2013, reflecting growing consumer interest in more active and healthy lifestyles. A notable highlight was the presentation of the OutDoor Industry Awards at which products and technologies demonstrating a particularly high degree of innovation and design quality were acknowledged. In addition, seven companies were selected to receive Gold Awards for "exceptionally outstanding" products.
