This 32-page report provides vital data and analysis highlighting the important role played by the world's key clothing export sources and their main destination markets. Globally, clothing exports were worth around US$412 bn in 2011, according to the latest data. Of this total, the world's top ten exporters accounted for no less than 90%. China was the largest exporter with over 37% of the global total. The EU was the second largest exporter, followed by Hong Kong, Bangladesh, India, Turkey, Vietnam, Indonesia, the USA, and Mexico. However, the fastest growing exporter in 2011 was Cambodia, followed by India, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Looking ahead, all of the major exporters face weak demand in their main markets: In the first quarter of 2012, imports were down in both the EU and the USA.
